Here's how much I make from commissionable links
Also in here: what I bring to the beach + an incredible sports photo
Hello my dears! A quick word about today’s links:
As always, I’m including commissionable links because I rely on your click-through purchases to make money (and because… shopping is fun). As a stay-at-home mom, it’s a huge blessing to make a little money (usually $50-200 per month) from this newsletter, and I deeply appreciate every purchase you make after clicking. Thank you.
Given the uncertainty we’re facing following President Trump’s recent choices, today I am keeping all of the shopping-focused links in one section so that you can choose to skip them if you don’t want to be bombarded with stuff to buy.
(Often people ask me if I know who purchased something through my link, and if I know what they bought. The answer is no to both.)
Happily, I found a big batch of sparkly links that will brighten your mood today — let’s hop in!
today’s bouquet
I just started reading The Flower Remedy and it’s just delightful.
Self portraits of chickens, by chickens.
Despite my disdain for things that crawl, I (and my kids) are very down for a little beasts museum.
Wood-carved decorations from a 1919 catalogue.
These micro-knitted sweaters seem impossible!
Jaw-dropping: a bus driver navigating Andes mountain roads with supreme chill.
If you feel helpless, help someone. (May I also recommend staying off the internet.)
What women wore. Has anyone in NY seen this exhibit? Looks amazing!
Oh my gosh, PLEASE tell me Candy Bar-lile is really happening.
Hard to believe these are pencil drawings.
Next time you’re in Pasadena, get yourself a chocolate cake ball at Yvonne’s. I wish I’d gotten a dozen. (via Emily)
Kiwi cucumber spritzer, yum!
South Bay locals: my friend Jessica is hosting a free Easter egg hunt at South Park in Hermosa this Sunday! Here are the details.
Favorite link this week: “In the middle of the bright summer-night I went out to call for the cows. I thought that maybe, something deep inside them, remember the sounds from the ancient times when people called for them over far distances.”
Isn’t this photo AMAZING? Nate shared it with me, he says:

Currently wearing this fun periwinkle nail polish.
What a beautiful dress.
Eleanor (my 10-year-old) keeps telling me I need some big gold hoop earrings, haha. I like these twisted ones. Do you have a pair you love?
Best thing I bought on Amazon this week.
C/o my mom: a really great pen!
Instead of an Easter dress, I bought myself a pair of rose earrings this year! These calla lily earrings would be pretty with a simple linen dress, don’t you think? (via Cynthia)
This Greek garden jacket is a DREAM. (also via Cynthia)
My friend Adrienne was wearing this adorable floral bomber at dinner the other night. I was sure it was from Free People but it’s under $50 from the Rack!
Swimsuit report: this fits very well and the orange color is a 10.
Knickers made from trees that feel like clouds.
If you loved chocolate pudding as a child, here’s an upgrade that’s equal parts nostalgic and gourmet (is that word still cool?)
Just ordered my second batch of fruit bars made from upcycled produce like watermelon rinds(!!) and seedless apple cores from the good people at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. They’re pretty tasty and excellent for your gut.
