I Get By With a Little Help From My Kids
Today's guest curators: Eleanor, Lucy, Charlie, & Mick
Hi! We’re on spring break, so it’s a Sorensen Steele Kid Takeover in Handpicked today. One huge takeaway about motherhood I didn’t expect to hear at Alt Summit was: include your kids in whatever you’re working on.
Isn’t that great advice? Looking forward to applying it to our family flow, especially with my girls now that they’re old enough to get interested in my stuff. Shoots, artwork, and more newsletters… it’s kind of exciting :)
Okay, I can’t wait to share my little guest curators’ picks with you today, let’s get right into it!

Just a few links, before we go…
A quote I read in Cheryl Strayed’s newsletter that made my heart jump into my throat:
“Boundaries aren’t agreements you make with others, they’re agreements you make with yourself. You aren’t betraying or abandoning anyone by setting a boundary, you’re opting not to betray and abandon yourself. When you choose to respect your boundaries, you’re choosing the path that you’ve decided is the healthiest and best one for you.”

Last night for dinner we had a mouth-watering recipe — grilled chicken with coconut rice and mango salsa/ salad — found in the Omnivore newsletter.
Looking for a new home for my BetterGreens packets to live in on the countertop (they’re currently in a cardboard box); thinking this cabbage platter or this footed terrarium could do the trick.
Snatched this open stitch sweater ($44) from Old Navy in two colors. 100% cotton, and feels like Anthro quality and fit.

Grateful for you.
I normally think Old Navy is total garbage -- terrible quality, just the absolute worst of fast fashion -- and then every once in a great while, like 5+ years or more, there's something that's actually lasting. (You look beautiful, btw, and it's not the outfit but rather your spirit.)
I loved The Book of Boundaries and learned the same sentiment about boundaries, so powerful and freeing!
