You can definitely learn to knit more than a scarf! YouTube is amazing for little tutorials on different techniques. I think a mitten is a really good way to learn to knit in the round and practice increases and decreases. I wish you luck!

The best thing to do is to find a local yarn store and feel the yarns until you find one you really like. It’s best if they are natural fiber, alpaca is super soft. I think if you’re ordering online, malabrigo is a great brand with a lot of different yarns but can be more expensive. If you want to spend less, the website Knit Picks has a really wide selection.

This is so true! You can find videos on every little thing if you get stuck or if a pattern calls for something you haven't done before. The knitting community is so helpful. My best advice is to find a pattern that is truly beautiful (and small) so you feel inspired to keep going. xoxo
