Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m making the Sorensen family traditional cornbread stuffing and Food52’s best apple crisp for Thanksgiving with Nate’s side of the family. I have three alarms set so that I won’t forget these turkeys.

At the risk of sounding majorly cheesy, let me say how grateful I am to you for reading Handpicked. • Just bought these ridiculous ballet flats. They’re even better in person.

• Broke my own heart this year and got a fake tree after 33 years of picking out a live one. (Fake trees are just so much more cost effective!) After researching it to death, we went with this one and… I like it very much.

• I have never been a caffeine drinker, but the last few months have been really hard and I got desperate. I reluctantly tried BetterGreens (this) on my friend Diana’s recommendation and it’s a complete game changer. Very grateful!

• I’m listening.

• $44 fisherman sweater, yes please.

• Fun fact: I did not like my wedding dress, so I’m always kind of hunting for a terrific white dress. I wouldn’t *not* get married in this fluffy tulle one.
