I wish I had read this 15 months ago!! So much still rings true. Thank you to everyone for sharing to make this article.
The best thing I was told was “You are going to be exhausted like you have never been, but there are going to be so many sweet and amazing moments, try not to let that exhaustion take them away.”
One night that hit home. I don’t remember how many times I got up that night, but after she ate, she just snuggled in on me and fell asleep. It was so beautiful and even being that tired I did not want it miss a second of it.
"Say yes" was my favorite bit. I read that in a book a few years ago, and I loved it then just as much as now. Say yes as often as possible, and then when you have to say no, they know you mean business.
This was the best motherhood advice. I found myself saying "YES" to so much of it as a new mom myself, and even walking away with some advice to take along with me for baby number 2 due this fall. Thanks for sharing!
Love the comment on formula, and it applies to pumping too. Not only was I able to feed my babies, but formula made it possible for my husband to feed them and their grandmothers to feed them. Truly something to be grateful for ❤️
“Scroll your camera roll, not an app” was something I very much needed to hear, even as a mom of multiples. What a beautiful collection, Alex! I’ll be sending over all my mama friends to this post.
This couldn’t have come at a better time! Not a first-time mom, but somehow every baby seems like the first one; I forget everything I thought I knew. Definitely going to be referring to this in a few weeks! Thank you so much for this ♥️.
Beautiful advice and encouragement.
Thank you kristen! 💕
I loved all of this! Especially “for the first month we sit”. Genius!
Sweats only 🥲
This deep dive was everything! Love the format with the advice and links. Keeping this one "starred" in my inbox to reference in the coming months. ;)
I had you at the top of mind when I was putting this together! 🥰🥰
