Oh gosh it was so bad. My 5yo son (who loves museums) jumped from a bench onto the floor, which attracted the attention of a museum employee, who loudly/ firmly said to Charlie, "STOP THAT," and to me, "jumping is completely prohibited, please do not allow this." Then a few minutes later, Charlie ran from my side to catch up with his dad on the opposite side of the gallery, about 8ft away; same museum employee appeared and got very nearly in my face and said, "running is prohibited, your child is completely out of control and —" and i said, okay, do you want us to leave? and he said "I didn't say that. But your child is being wildly inappropriate" at which point I said, "OK BYE!" and stormed down to guest services with Charlie, told them what happened, and informed them that, due to my policy on advocating for my child and refusal to subject him to anti-child treatment by adults, we will not be returning to their establishment. SIGH
