how have i never seen an easter nativity scene before?! it's so sweet! and i loved your mom talk. your voice is beautiful, and your thoughts even more so. you have such a tender, empathetic heart, and i love what you said about a strong sense of community being the point of life. i couldn't agree more! xo
Hearing your voice was such a treat! More please!! Is it weird you sound exactly how I thought you would!?
That Eleanor portraittttt...I'm just going to keep telling you how talented you are until you believe it. And thank you for reminding me of blowing eggs! We did that some years growing up and I had completely forgotten. Such a great creative project for the season.
I loved your Mom Talk here - thank you! I also cry - at the "Star Spangled Banner," at "Hatikvah" (Israel's national anthem), when my kids tell me they love me, at books and movies. I'm sure I would have cried at the Gay Men's Chorus concert, too.
I listed to and loved the mom talk!! As a fellow ~cries at everything~ type of person, I was on the verge of tears at your story about the Gay Men's chorus, and certainly would have been sobbing had I been there. Thank you for sharing! A lovely newsletter, as always 💕
Love your thoughts on the Gay Men's Chorus of LA and your outfit is magnificent -- and love the thoughts about community. It is invaluable. My daughters love the song Pink Pony Club. Your Easter eggs are an inspiration, too!
I cry at everything and I would have absolutely be crying with you at that concert!!! Cowboy Take Me Away??? Are you serious? My all time favorite song. The concert sounds joyous.
That cosmology quiz was so interesting!!! Apparently I’m a believer in Teilhardian evolution (which I’d never heard of Teilhard) and it’s giving me a new and interesting avenue to explore. I’m noticing my cosmology is partly my Catholic upbringing and partly my family’s deep love of Star Trek and Diane Duane’s Young Wizards (really incredible books especially for these dark times! The Big Bad wears many guides but it’s the ticking clock of entropy and death vs the way we resist it and make meaning).
Omg that flower dresssssss
It would be sooo amazing w your hair

Oh yes I definitely cry at the star spangled banner! And if I ever have the privilege of hearing Hatikvah I’m sure it will make me cry too.

Thank you Isabel! New career dream: a handpicked collab with Kleenex, haha!

So nice of you Darcy! I think our daughters would be friends - we sing it way too much at our house (only slightly less than every Wicked song, haha)
