Also in here: can't believe I'm telling you what book I just read
Hi my dears! Today we have a fun announcement, my favorite moments of SNL 50, and a historic sweater…
But first I have to show you this picture of my daughters:
Over the weekend, I took Eleanor and Lucy to Block Shop, the beautiful brick-and-mortar textile shop run by the Stockman sisters. It was love at first sight — can you see Lu pointing and E’s jaw literally open?! — and we even got to meet Hopie Stockman, one of the owners. She was absurdly kind to my girls, talking about her childhood with her sisters. Eleanor and Lucy were in awe of the artful, magical shop the Stockmans have created; they both would have liked to apply for jobs on the spot, haha. We got these knobs(!!) and a perfect blue bandana. It’s sold out online, but LA readers, go go go to their shop in Atwater Village!

SNL50 was full of terrifically funny moments, it felt like a big warm inside joke for longtime fans of the show. But the one that made me laugh the hardest was the girl you wish you hadn’t started a conversation with at a party AND the guest that followed. Perfection. Oh, and my favorite musical performance was Marcus Mumford covering The Boxer. Made me cry.
Floret Farms’ dahlia experiment was a very lovely rabbit hole to fall into. Have you ever thought about “flower parents” and “flower babies?!” So cute.
Spectacular embellished hearts.
- just published a chill weekend guide to Marfa, TX.
When I saw this patchwork jacket, my first thought was “that’s the best vintage quilted jacket I’ve ever seen.” And this dress is giving Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in the best way. Both handmade in Massachusetts by

Wait, what! She turned Amazon boxes into a vase!?

Adding Woodstock, VT to my list of travel destinations just so I can eat everywhere on this list.
There’s no way I would have had a fourth baby without this, haha. (I’m joking but I’m also not.)
“2025 is the year this family stops using mismatched Costco and Target bath towels,” I recently declared into my linen closet. Lots of research and a modest budget led me to my trusty and beloved L.L. Bean. These bluestone-colored ones arrived and have already been through the wash — they’re totally great and normal and nice, and I know they’ll hold up well because we’ve had their beach towels for four years and they look and feel exactly the same as they day we got them.
Cannot wait to read this adorable series to my boys! Jon Klassen is Charlie’s favorite.
Have we ever talked about all the weird books I read? I just finished one about human cadavers, and honestly, I absolutely loved it.

Once, when I was pregnant with Mick, I was having a terrible day and I treated myself to a stroll through the Anthro sale room, where I found the cutest floral sweater. It didn’t fit at all (I wondered miserably if it ever would), but I fell in love with it so I bought it and saved it. Now I get compliments whenever I wear it, and guess what! I just discovered it’s stocked at Tuckernuck in two colors.
Okay I looovvvve the placement of this monogram.
This Lacoste sweater with all of their historic logos is so cool.
My best friend is expecting her first baby this summer, so of course I’m giving her this and these. (This post has all my newborn must-haves.)

Grateful for you.
SNL 50 was the highlight of my week. Sandler's song was peak for me, and I loved seeing Eddie Murphy back on the stage! So so so good!
When I used the bathroom at Block Shop my mouth was on the floor. I think that's where I learned about scalloped edge toilet paper!
