Hello darlings! It’s Classified day! Our readers are up to some cool stuff, lemme tell ya. If you didn’t submit your ad to the form but want to share with the class, feel free to shamelessly self-promote in the comments. Truly.
One quick thing: I’m thinking of doing a Deep Dive on our Disneyland trip. Are we into this content? Be honest.
today’s bouquet
Rant for anyone sensitive to sound: I’m a highly sensitive person (and I recently found out that’s not that weird), especially to sound. You’ve heard me yammer about Loop earplugs, which got me through a five-quarter Super Bowl. My cousin’s cute little baby uses the tiniest white noise machine ever (cordless! 18 sounds! tiny!), which is perfect for my desk when there’s construction noise on our street. And, since I work in the family room, I just got these cheap noise-cancelling headphones that feel similar to the Bose ones Nate uses for editing commercials. Can’t believe I’ve lived 34 years without them.
What a cute idea for kid artwork.
Cool tool for color nerds.
A delightful batch of nature photographs.
Favorite link this week: shopping the rainbow!
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!
Might die of happiness if this collab happens.
Y’all, I’m gonna be in Worth Mentioning!
These mocha garden pots feel decidedly springy. (Similar for $20)
Everything you ever wanted to know about The Sound of Music. (via Nate)

My friend Cynthia texted me “ummm is this the official Handpicked shoe of the szn?!” YES.
Swoon, so many great finds (and free shipping) in the Shopbop sale. I’m not buying anything, but I wish I was getting this hair claw, scrunchie, and silver bow. Thanks for clicking my link if you’re getting anything, I get a little extra commission this week :)
the classifieds!
Thanks to each Handpicked reader who placed a Classified ad. If you missed the submission, please share your ad in the comments. Once again, shameless self promotion highly encouraged.

I write a newsletter about sounds, eats, and reads that add little bursts of joy in my life. It’s called “Flickers of Light”.
I am a family photographer who mostly shoots on film! Located along the central coast (Ventura to be exact, and I feel the very start of the central coast lol). I have three littles myself, so know the chaos of family life and also the deep wish we moms have of good photos with our kids. You can find more work at www.elisendafarison.com or little glimpses of my work and life at @ elisendafarison. (Editor’s note: Elisenda was our photographer when I was pregnant with Mick and I absolutely cherish the photos she gave us.)
Birth & Postpartum Doula in Southern California (Editor’s note: Asia was my night nurse and is an actual angel from heaven.)
I am an oil painter and am fascinated by color and composition. I paint expressive landscapes and floral subjects. I also paint commissions, specializing in painting brides’ wedding bouquets and other bouquets from significant events. My paintings are timeless and affordable. (LINK)
I am a board certified, midlife metabolic fixer-upper who specializes in women’s weight loss through my SIMPLE, SUSTAINABLE COACHING PROGRAMS. No counting calories or tracking macros required. I help bewildered, frustrated ex-dieters simplify their relationship with food and fitness. Host of The Walk with Me Podcast. Website link + podcast link (Editor’s note: my mom :’))) also submitted Sherie’s podcast for the Classifieds — here’s her submission: “Sherie Samuelian’s ‘Walk With Me’ podcast is new, but I’ve known Sherie for years, and these episodes showcase her deep knowledge of how to REALLY create and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.”)
I’m a Mother of Four and Head Chef of our home. I’m a self proclaimed expert at meal planning, grocery shopping, and easy meal cooking. Here is my family friendly, mostly healthy, and delicious 6 week meal plan.
I have a fledgling newsletter (very much inspired by Handpicked) that is all pretty much a stream of meanderings about motherhood, womanhood, spirituality… with lots of frivolities woven in. It’s my attempt to examine all the intricacies of what it means to exist in and experience the world.
Book Snacks is your go-to newsletter for fun, thoughtful book recommendations that don’t take themselves too seriously. Whether you’re looking for your next binge-worthy read, a deep dive into book-to-screen adaptations, or just a little bookish humor, you’ll find it here—in quick, snackable bites.
I have a carefully curated collection of vintage books filled with beautiful art (in the form of illustration, typography, and word) just waiting to become a part of people’s homes and spaces. I’m finally getting around to making it actually happen! Come follow along on Instagram vintagepaiges.co (or Substack soon!!) and help me bring it all to life!
Want to raise a reader? Can we read? is your weekly guide to children’s books and building a culture of reading in your home. Let me save you the time, energy, and emotional labor of finding excellent books so you have more bandwidth for what really matters: reading together.
I advise Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG) on advocacy with elected officials. If you want to be part of a broader community of faith-based women engaging with government, I’d invite you to become a member.
I wrote/directed/produced and starred in this feature film about aging women, and revisiting old romances/versions of yourself (kinda like “Past Lives!”) that is currently streaming on Peacock, Amazon, Apple, hoopla, Pluto, everywhere! The movie premiered at SXSW 2020 but the pandemic sorta stalled everything so I’m still out here promoting it!
Worth Mentioning is a newsletter about motherhood, creativity and discovery. Every Friday and Sunday you’ll receive a new issue in your inbox - featuring short essays, interviews with incredible women, guest recommendations, book roundups, creative inspiration and more. Subscribe so you don’t miss a thing - I can’t wait to meet you!
The ‘Flighty’ app gives you all the flight info you want and need! The alerts about flight delays or cancellations come in faster from Flighty than even the airlines! It has been incredibly helpful for managing travel.
Jefferson Fisher’s podcast is one I NEVER miss. Helpful tools for effective communication, plus fascinating insight into why people communicate the way they do.
